The nation’s first Franciscan university, St. Bonaventure University is a community committed to transforming the lives of our students inside and outside the classroom, inspiring in them a lifelong commitment to service and citizenship. In 2020, St. Bonaventure was named the #2 regional university value in New York and #3 in the North by U.S. News and World Report. The occupational therapy program that launched in August 2021 has outstanding faculty and state-of-the art facilities. Go Bonnie’s!

Gorgeous campus. I did a presentation there, had a tour and lunch. Students are welcoming and friendly, they held the door, said hello, and made a great impression.

This is a pretty campus and it offers an education nurtured by the Franciscans. I am only a visitor here and can't attest to how the school is. But this place is connected to me through my interest in Thomas Merton who taught English here before he responded to his call to go to Gethsemane Abbey in Kentucky. I hope to learn more about Merton and St. Bonaventure University while he was here during my visit.

August 2017 - If you are driving by on Highway 86, make a short detour and drive through this mostly mid-century modern architecture campus. The chapel has a lively modernist design. It's worth a stop.

Worst job I ever had. Campus overlooks unhealthy drinking habits as normal. Doesn’t support the students and vastly underpays staff for expectations.

I'm a parent of a former student. This school needs to add activities for their students. Students place too much emphasis on the recreational use of alcohol and drugs to kill free time at this facility. Off campus housing along East Union Street are known amongst the student body as party houses. The school has the facilities needed to offer activities for their students but organized activities are few and far between. Local police officials know about the rampant use of fake ID's in local establishments and the existence of party houses but, other than a few token raids each year, choose to look the other way. A student's college experience is what they make of it. The school is responsible for offering the students the choices necessary to make smart choices. There are too few choices at St. Bonaventure. The educators at St. Bonaventure are very good, but, they need better support.

My father went to school here. I went to graduate school here. My son is a full time student here. Wonderful school. Excellent educators. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a good education in a healthy environment on a beautiful campus.
